How to recover from mold exposure

There are several ways you can tackle mold testing. There are possibilities for professional tests and self-tests. Checking your environment (at home or at work) for mould can be beneficial if the symptoms of mould disease are similar to other chronic inflammatory conditions such as Lyme.

Visual inspection of the house: You can carry out a visual inspection of the house yourself or call in a qualified indoor air specialist for more comprehensive information. Check the condition of the walls, air conditioning and pipes. Check if there is flash in gutters and rainwater collects on the outside of the house.

While it is true that you can buy an inexpensive grade in the hardware store, specialized plates provide more solid data. In order to avoid false negatives or false positives, instead of seeing a standard mold plate, you should have one developed by a company that specializes in environmental diseases.

It is worth noting that some molds, such as Stachybotrus chaeteomium, are not able to grow on many plates. The panels should be stored in a room away from typical problem areas such as a sink. Tip tests can also be used to test furniture or your dog or cat.

ERMI (Environmental Relative Mold Index) DNA test to see if mold is present in the dust. You can also use a Swiffer cloth to collect dust.

These are just some of the companies that offer these products, which are a must for anyone who has experienced this before.

It picks up mould that has not yet grown on the mould plate, e.g.

The biggest drawback is the price tag and the limitation of separate tests for each room in the house. Moisture and humidity meters are available in hardware stores, but while these resources will not be able to tell you whether you have mold, they can help you to determine the humidity and humidity that are right for mold growth. With air you want less than 50% humidity in the room. If you test drywall, you want lower values (5-12%).

Check areas around windows and doors if you have concerns about watering or entering the building. Indoor environmentalists who know about the effects of mold on sensitive populations can be helpful. Your trained eyes and tools can also be helpful in identifying the source of your mould.

Consider a virtual or telephone consultation with an indoor specialist in line with the International Society for Acquired Diseases (ISEAI) and its standards for indoor health. Find an inspection expert with CIEC or CMC certification. Find a rehabilitation specialist with CMR or CMR certification. Make sure that the specialist offers inspection, not inspection plus remediation, to avoid conflicts of interest.

Some porous objects such as paper, clothing and wood are susceptible to contamination. Other items can be cleaned easily and safely.

Most trained medical professionals have a very narrow view of the effects of mould on the human body. It is important to work with an integrative doctor who is familiar with the latest research on mycotoxins and moulds.

Binders are used to bind mycotoxins in the body. Cholestyramine 13 is a prescription binder but uses natural binders such as charcoal. Treat colonized fungi and bacterial infections in the intestines, lungs and sinuses that may be affected.

Look for a high-quality air purifier that uses HEPA, carbon and Zeolite filters. The HealthMate Austin Air Clean Filter is a must. A stand-alone filter on the worktop, such as the Berkey model, or a full-house system such as the Aquatru can remove unwanted impurities. Include targeted supplements such as glutathione, which improves detoxification pathways, and ozone, which tolerates saunas, sweat and exercise.    Show Source Texts

Eating as much organic food as possible reduces the overall burden on the body and the exposure to pesticides. A low-inflammatory diet and eliminating added sugars from processed foods is a good first step. Enjoy fiber-rich foods and antioxidants to aid detoxification. Adopting foods with antifungal properties such as olive oil, garlic, ginger, onions, coconut and lemon can be beneficial. It can be helpful to increase the consumption of cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, bok choy and Brussels sprouts.

Support your immune system with ozone and sauna: infrared saunas and ozone can be helpful in the recovery from mold diseases. Our office offers the Hocatt sauna which combines the power of infrared sauna and ozone. These special tools are useful for rebalancing your body after an overactive stress reaction. Recovery from a disease caused by mould can be exhausting, isolating and stressful. Social support is crucial for your overall well-being and return to optimal health.

To calm down an overactive stress response, consider regular activities such as yoga, breathing exercises, prayer, meditation and gentle stretching. Maintain a strong support system: Isolation increases the risk of disease. You can ask for help if you have symptoms that get in the way of everyday life. Make a mental note of who is by your side. Be a voice of encouragement and cheer to the finish line.

The dynamic neural retention system uses neuroplasticity strategies to rewire the brain in the hope of moving from a state of struggle or flight to growth and repair. Use neuroplasticity for healing: chronic stress reactions and an overactive limbic system contribute to chronic diseases. Positive emotions are centered in thoughts of gratitude so that time spent outdoors or talking to friends can build positive emotions that can survive difficult times.
